Job alert: Research Position in Modelling Stand-Level Forest Dynamics (LSCE, France)

Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l'Environnement (LSCE) is looking for a mathematician, physicist or theoretical ecologist who enjoys solving differential equations with the aim of implementing stochastic processes (wind throw, fire and gap dynamics) into a land surface model (ORCHIDEE). This study supports the mission of the LSCE IPSL to contribute to the efforts of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) through continuously improving its modelling capacity.

Closing date: 21 October 2011.
