A four year PhD position in land use modelling is available at the University College Dublin (UCD)

Project title: Land use modelling to optimize bioenergy supply chains in Ireland

Earth Sciences Institute (UCD) is seeking a strong candidate with experience in GIS or programming. Ideally the candidate would have a background in geography, forestry, agricultural science, biology, sociology or related field, with an interest in the rural environment and the policy-science interface.

The cut-off date for applications is 3 June 2011, however the position will remain open until a successful candidate is appointed.
